2020 has been a great year for slots. In fact, it’s quite possible that 2020 has been the best year for slots on record so far. Not only have slots hit peak levels of popularity among players (according to data based on how many people have been Google searching for online slot games), but we have also seen some absolutely fantastic online slot games being released – deposit and play.
One online slot game developer in particular, Play ’n GO, have had a heck of a year. At the beginning, they set out to create one online slot game for every single week of the year. At first, we thought that it would either not happen at all, or that they would end up copying their own slots or releasing rubbish ones in a rush to meet their own targets.
Alas, this was not the case, and so we felt it would be rude not to include one of Play ’n GO’s slots in our top three for the year, alongside two other absolute corkers. So, here we go… our top three slots for the year of 2020.
Beast of Wealth
In case you haven’t heard of Beast of Wealth already, this is the slot game from Play ’n GO that we decided (after a lot of hard work scrutinising all of the crackers that Play ’n GO have come out with this year) should go in our top three.
Beast of Wealth is part of a trilogy of Asian-themed slot games that are presented with the most beautiful of graphics and each come with great slot bonuses. The difference between the three is fairly minimal in all fairness, but we decided that Beast of Wealth just about tops it thanks to it having a slightly nicer bonus round than the other two games in the trilogy.
Centurion Megaways
If you haven’t played the original Centurion slot game, let alone the Megaways version, then you are really missing out. Centurion is one of the most famous online slot games of all time, so we were super excited to see that Inspired Gaming had re-booted it for the year of 2020.
Not only did Inspired Gaming add the incredible Megaways engine to Centurion, but they also packed it with a tonne of their own amazing bonus features, plus updated the graphics to the next level. In simple terms, Inspired Gaming absolutely threw the kitchen sink at this one. Hats off to them.
DJ Wild
Swedish up-and-coming developers ELK Studios have only been around for under five years, yet every single year they get better and better. 2020 has seen what we think could be their best game to date, and that is DJ Wild.
If you’re into your dance music, this is the one for you, as it features a soundtrack of some of the hit EDM tracks from the past couple of years. Ravers unite, this one is for you.
